Wilderness Adventure Camp
Camp Chief Ouray has a dynamic array of wilderness programs for campers looking for an added adventure! These exciting backcountry programs offer campers the chance to participate in rafting, mountain biking, backpacking, horse packing, canoeing, kayaking, and surfing adventures! We even offer an international journey to Peru for campers looking for a program that includes culture, adventure, and service.
Sherpa Trips (ages 13-16)
ONE WEEK TRIPS
These programs offer campers the opportunity to explore Colorado by foot, raft, bike, or horse while growing strong, working as a member of a team, and learning to live in harmony with our environment. The adventure starts with 1-2 days of teambuilding and trip preparations at CCO. Groups will them embark on an incredible 4-day adventure in the backcountry.
Trekker Trips (ages 14-17)
TWO WEEK TRIPS
Our Trekker Trips take campers on exciting 2-week expeditions filled with fun and discovery. Campers can explore the dramatic Northwestern Rocky Mountains in Colorado, hike the breathtaking Wind Rivers in Wyoming, surf the waves in Southern California, journey through the pristine lakes in Northern Minnesota, or paddle through the rich waters of the San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest. For an international journey CCO is again offering a very special trip to Lima, Peru!
